POST V-DAY.

OK....so today on my show I briefly talked about my "love"ly weekend. It all started with my Valentine..also known as my boyfriend telling me he had to cancel our plans because he had work til eleven Saturday night. Needless today I talked through my teeth and said, "Aw that's ok." When really I meant, "Ughhh! I actually have a boyfriend and I'm having a crappier valentines day than most people!"

Anywayyy....he didn't sense any bitterness towards the situation (guys suck.) But I'm glad he didn't because I was being a complete and total brat. Anyway I decided to get my nails done with my mom Saturday afternoon and right before he was off to work, my boyfriend stopped by with an obnoxious stuffed animal in valentines day attire and a single rose with a sweet card. Needless to say I felt like a brat for complaining to my mom 5 minutes prior about his lack of effort to make up for the night.

Anywayy that wasmy weekend if you didn't hear me say it on-air. :-)

V-day is coming uppp

Sooo this week in the Life of Kelsey...

I had my Radio Show this afternoon and I'm sure my show was as dead as I was feeling. My day was veryyy longg. I have an even longer day tomorrow, off Wednesday, and a repeat of Tuesday on Thursday. Then Fridayyy I am putting in my timeeee taking Valentine requests for The Burn. Saturday is "the big day." I have a boyfriend, who is a sweetheart but is by no means creative and has no memory. If he remembers to say "Happy Valentine's Day" or write me a card, I will be schocked, and satisfied. Maybe i'll write down the link to my blog and accidently leave it with him....and then he'll read: I love Roses! Red Ones! And dinner, seafood especially! And I love when you wear something other than a t-shirt and jeans!

Anywayyy....I hope everyone else has a great saturday....dateless or not. Buy your mom and dad a card, it'll make yah feel like yah mean something to somebody. I usually do it every year. Anddddd don't forget to request love songs!!!! <333

day after the super bowl

Sooo the Steelers won, and I really don't care. In fact I had no idea they were even from PA. My show is today and I'm actually about to leave my house to go to the radio station. I suppose I'll mention the game, I did watch it, but I mostly tuned in for Jennifer Hudson's amazing performance that is actually being questioned wheather or not it was lip synced. And Bruce. I love him and he did amazingg and I am most definitely playing some Springsteen today, watch out!
Hm, nothing else is really new, typical Monday....I hope this week doesn't drag on. But hey, it's a new month and this semester is flying. Sooo I guess that's all I have to say...I'm off to my show now, tune in!! :-)

So. What to discuss in first my blog? Talking about my Radio Show is probably the must appropriate topic.

First show of the semester was definitely a little rusty. But once I got into the groovee of things, I remember how much fun it is to have a radio show. I'm on from 12-2pm every monday. I am still a little awkward with the DJ rap. I usually have lots of personality in person, but behind that microphone I grow incredibly shy. I almost feel phony when I attempt to discuss something because I rehearse it before I talk on air. I guess experience and practice will make perfect.

Hopefully my blogs get more interesting as I go along...let's hope so. :-)
